01 tahoe dash lights intermittant

I have an '01 Tahoe. Sometimes at night the dash lights don't come on, sometimes they do. Sometimes they don't come on at first, but after 30 seconds or so they come on. Once they are on they always stay on. This affects the dash, radio, HVAC controls, everything. The mileage and the gear indicator do come on always. This used to happen maybe once a month but now is daily. Any ideas what it could be? The cluster has not been replaced to my knowledge, and the mileage and gear indicator always come on and are bright.

I just noticed mine doing that too. It happens on the window rocker switches for the driver and passenger. It also happens intermittently on a couple of the radio preset buttons.

Ill prolly end up pulling the window controls apart, but the radio will eventually be replaced so I'm not too worried about it.
