I'm looking into buying an 01-06 Tahoe for the first time and the one I've been looking at has these stock plastic fender flares and I am wondering if these are removable and if I take them off will there be any holes in the fenders after removal or is it just held up by 3M tape any info is greatly appreciated thanks.

I replied once already. Don't know what happened to my reply!???

I just did this job yesterday. No holes in fenders after removal. You might have to deal with marks in the paint along the top edge left by the fender flares like I did. After buffing the marks mostly came out. I'm very pleased with the results. The truck looks much better, in my opinion, without the flares.

I have a red 2003 LT and I want the stock fender flares either gone or replaced. I don't like them at all. they just look like a plastic add-ons to me. Does anyone have pictures of what this 2003 LT looks like without any flares pasted on? Also, what I DO need is mud flaps- trying to come up with a plan to either switch out or remove the stock flares, and have mud flaps when i am done. ideas or pics? Thanks...

PS if anyone wants mine I will sell them for the cost of shipping after they are laying on my shop floor!
