    I should have updated this earlier, but I took the throttle body off and cleaned everything really well, cleaned the maf and then got as much carbon out of the intake as I could and she is running like a champ now :kar: thanks for checking this

    No problem, just a heads up too, it is going to require you to partially drain the cooling system and then you may end up needeing a new gasket also, so check with autozone to see if they have one before you start...I got mine for $5

    pick up a haynes manual, thats what I used to do exactly what your doing on my 00 tahoe...makes it a ton easier

    Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight on a problem I have been having with my 2000 Tahoe...5.3 liter v8...basically the idle is considerably lower than it should be(between 350-400rpm) and it dies while in low idle or if I am at a stop light or in stop and go traffic...
