I put factory Escalade take-offs on my hoe and I can say that I did notice the ride quality did suffer a bit. As stated above, not nearly enought to make me regret doing so.
I belive the factory Escalade's use the 285 tire....no issues with rubbing, ABS, etc...
My Hoe was used when I...
Guys,
See the sig for vehicle....
My wife called me yesterday and said that as she was pulling into the babysitter's drive way, the Hoe flashed the aformentioned code across the DIC.
A little background....I live in the midwest and we've had light snow off and on for the last two...
Yeah, like I said, I'll be needing some new shocks before too long. Does anyone know if the LT3's came with the autoride on the rear? I haven't crawled under there to look, but I didn't know if it was only available on the LTZ. From what I can tell, other than the chrome appearance package...
Finally got a chance to shine up the Tahoe after I put the factory Escalade 22's on it. I'm very happy with how it looks, but after seeing these pics, I think I may need to lower the rear an inch or two. Enjoy.
Any reasoning behind your opinion? Bad experiences?
hbrbmx, it's raining here today, and I still have yet to find time to clean the 'hoe, but as soon as I do, I'll post some pics. Also, thanks for the info.
Overlays look nice! Glad to hear you haven't had any issues. Where did you get them? Cost? Thanks for posting pics.
I've been wait'n for some nice weather to really get her shined up, but havent' been so lucky.
I'll try and get some pics up soon.
Stargazer,
I just checked out the pic in your signature....looks like you know your way around a camera? That's a sweet picture. Looks like something you would see in a magazine ad!
I've got a baby on the way and the wife and I are going to buy a new camera this afternoon....I hope to...
Stargazer,
Those look really good. I agree with you, you can have TOO much chrome, and those bottoms really accent the vehicle well.
I always thought handle overlays would get worn out too, but like I said, my pickup has them on and I haven't had a problem. I've owned the truck for 1 1/2...
This is a very common misconception about E-85 as well. My family owns and operates 3 farm equipment dealerships (if it ain't RED, leave it in the shed!) and I can tell you that a very, very small percentage of the corn raised by famers is used for food production. (pick an ear of corn from...
Guys,
See the sig....the only thing distinguishing my 3LT from an LTZ is the Nav and the chrome accents.
I was wondering what kind of luck people have had with the plastic "chrome" overlays for the door handles/mirrors?
I have an '04 Dodge Ram that I bought used and it has them on...
If it found and read the sensors, is there any reason why it wouldn't warn me of a low tire. Isn't it simply looking for a measureable drop in pressure, and not a specific psi?
Also, as long as I don't see either of those two messages, can I assume that both systems are working properly...
GmTech48,
Is it a safety concern if I don't get it re-flashed by the dealer? I guess that is what it boils down to.
If I'm off by a psi or two, I don't care, but I just want to make sure the safety functions are not adversely affected.
stargazer,
That's a good point. I just want to make sure everything is working properly (ABS and Stabilitrac).
Looking at another post (http://www.tahoeforum.com/showthread.php?t=11066&highlight=TPMS), one of the guys says that any (most) tire shops can re-flash the sensors. Is he...
GMTech48,
Thanks for the heads-up. Is this something they charge for? What is involved? I just purchased my 'hoe last week, so I would think that maybe the dealer I bought it from would do it??? I'll have to check.
Yeah, I plan on getting some pics posted soon....I just got them put on thursday, and it has rained since, so I'm gonna try and clean it up this afternoon when I get off work.
I ended up putting 35 psi in them to start, since I had to re-learn my TPMS anyway. For anyone that is interested...
Guys,
Just put a set of factory 22" Escalade wheels on my 'hoe and was wondering what the factory tire pressure should be. They were shipped to me with 35psi, so I left them there, but these are the lowest profile tires I have dealt with, so I didn't know if I should bump it up a bit or not...
Yeah, if you go on Ebay, you can find "No Logo" centers for these wheels. I picked up a set right after I purchased the wheels. I wish someone would make them with a bowtie logo, but I haven't had any luck finding such a thing.
I was trying to think if there would be any kind of raised...
well guys, it's a moot point....I found some 22" Escalade's on ebay for $1800 bucks! the lowest I've seen them is for $2499 and up, so I think I got a pretty good deal, also considering fact. 20's are going for $1400.
I'll answer my own question once they arrive, and I'll be sure to post...
