Mine was not coverable so I had to replace.

I installed the full dash from a 1997 Suburban into 1998 Tahoe and it fit perfectly. After buying the 1997 I have my own parts car. I hope don't ever need any of the body panels.

The best I can tell they are the same. The airbag is over the glove box. I went ahead and bought a 97 Suburban for parts. The donor vehicle is in great shape except the seats and carpet so I have many parts available. I don't know if I should hang onto it or part it out and get my purchase price...
