More information, I went over every fuse in my box and found one for IS LAMPS (10A) out, as soon as I tried another fuse it went out. So obviously this is short. Can someone help please.

I hope this explains it better, when the headlights come on at night automatically or manually there are no dash lights. If I turn the lights on manually during the day I can see that the dash lights are on. In other words opposite of what you expect.

I just bought a very nice low mileage 2007 Tahoe. It is an awesome truck except for the dash lights which are acting weird. Basically the light around the gauges in the cluster does not come on but only at night. If I manually turn the headlight on during the day I can see the dash light on...
