    Eliminating the cooler lines?

I have two GM trucks that have those damn leaky engine oil cooling lines. A 1999 Tahoe and a 1998 GMC Sierra K1500. I've replaced the lines on the GMC 3 times now with both Doorman and Genuine GM Parts with eventually the same results. The Tahoe leaks as well and I'm debating between eliminating...

    Jounce or Bump Stops?

I need to replace the rubber stops on the front section of the frame above the lower control arm. Do you guys know the right GM part number for these? The one I have is 15835666, but I can't find an exact picture of them to know if that is the right number. It is on a stock lift 1999 Chevy...

    4wd service light

Thanks for the response. Any idea what type of scan tool they are referring too? My switch is new, (the old one was malfunctioning), so I wouldn't think that in itself is a problem, would like to clear that DTC though to see if it comes back. What happens is the truck will shift through all...

    4wd service light

I know this question has been posted many times, but I can't seem to find an answer for this. How do I run a diagnostic test for a '99 Tahoe with the "Automatic" selection on the shift buttons? Thanks.

    ABS Light

The EBCM (electronic brake control module), in short, monitors the impulses coming from the wheel sensors and controls the pump going to the ABS system telling it what to do. It is usually located on top of the left (drivers side) quarter panel in the engine compartment. It has a black plastic...

    New Lower Control Arms

Having a real hard time finding new lower control arms for my 1999 4WD Tahoe. I can find RWD ones just about anywhere. Are they the same? I was going to replace the lower ball joints and put in new bushings on the old ones, but hell if I'm going to do all that work I'd like to use all new...

    ABS Light

Found what was causing the light to come on. The connection that is underneath the EBCM and goes to the pump motor was corroded. Cleaned it up reconnected it and the light is now off. Never knew the damn thing was even there, DOOOH!!!:boxed:

    ABS Light

Working on a 1999 Tahoe (older body style).I'm trying to figure out why my ABS light is on. I've checked the sensors using an Ohm meter and they seem to be working OK and also checked all the connections for corrosion. I wanted to try and retrieve the codes that are stored in the EBCM, but there...
