Ok, so here is the vehicle I am about to pull the trigger on. A 2008 Yukon Denali with 135k miles for $17,500.
My question: I have been going back and forth on 07-09 Yukon Denalis and Escalades...Am I making the right choice?
I know they are about the same vehicle. I really wish the...
I have the same deal going on with my 07 4wd. Just something i've dealt with. I have read that it isn't actually your suspension, but rather your slip yoke or drive shaft flexing. Apparently these things can be lubed up, but not really sure on the fix. Might take a closer look myself when we...
So I found a great deal at Farm and Fleet on Citgo Synthetic Blend 5w-30. My 2007 Tahoe with 163k miles burns about 3 quarts of oil in between oil changes. I am allowed one top off from my service station, but thought it would be nice to keep some oil handy on long trips. Anyway, I found the...
By all original, do you mean engine and tranny? What maintenance repairs have you experienced in the last 50k or so miles?
I'm now (163k) noticing wheel bearings and possibly ball joints and tie rod ends. Probably just going to replace the safety issues as they come about but I would be...
Turns out I finally got an homest answer. Really the only thing that needs attention is one wheel bearing hub. The other things are not necessary yet or a safety issue. However no one looked at the rear hubs and sounds like a little grinding going on back there.
I would say on average people trade mostly between 60-100k since that is when warranties expire but most of those people do want the hassle of fixing things here and there. Personally I do not mind having to fix something here and there if I can purchase a pre-owned vehicle at 1/3 new. For me, I...
Just reminder that on these trucks 200k is equivalent to 100k on others. You have lots of life left. However, I know how reasoning with the wife goes. When I get down to it I just say ive done all the research and please trust my judgement. Anyway, mpg's? Im getting 15.5 mixed driving. Be sure...
How long have you had you tahoe? Being that I just purchased mine with 160k and was given no maintenance history, im not sure what I can assume was maintained/fixed and what is soon to come. Betwwen 150-200k usually brings a fuel pump failure. My Avalanche fuel pump went out at 174k. I do need a...
To be honest, the first place did have me out in the shop but didn't really demonstrate anything. I'm going to take it to an independent guy today. I could jack it up myself and check for play, but I wouldn't know what the play meant. Such as if it would be due to arms, joints or bearings...
I am a newbie to the site but not to Chevy Trucks. Recently purchased a 2007 Tahoe LTZ used with 162k miles...all highway. Anyway, the vehicle is in great condition but I took it in for some new tires and was told I needed Upper Control Arms (both sides) and Upper and Lower Ball Joints (both...
I bought my 07 Tahoe used and it has 163k mostly highway miles currently. Wear and tear things to address now, such as ball joints and bearings but I expect at least 200k.
