"Most" back-up cameras (factory and aftermarket) have the same male type plug on the connecting end of the harness. With aftermarket headunits, there should be a dedicated opening on the back. The cable "should" just plug right into the headunit.
I would suspect that you could route the wiring up through the license plate lights area. This is taking into account that the unit your installing mounts to the top license plate bracket bolts. If the existing wiring is not black, you could use some wire loom to conceal it.
I suggest staying below 8k on both beams. I would say 6k for low beams and fogs. Much better clarity and vision and the cops are less likely to bother you about them.
