My buddy who has a shop told me that I need to get the orange dextron crap out of my engine and replace it. Apparently it contributes to head gasket failures and there's even a class action law suit against GM because some Buick model blows headgaskets due to the dextron.

I'm averaging 380-400/tank. I do mostly highway driving.

I've been looking on ebay for a while now with no luck. I'm trying to find a mat that goes across the entire floor from left to right for the front and back of my tahoe. Is there a place where I can get a good deal on them? I prefer rubber mats, but will consider carpet as well.

If it is the shield, it could be as simple as picking up some high temp RTV and squirting some in the cavaties.

Looks good Tom! I just got rid of my 02 WRX and picked up a 06 Tahoe. Actually, the WRX got rid of me, it threw a rod. Is that your Leggy next to the hoe?

The lowering kit seems to be cheap enough that if you're about to spend $1200+ on wheels and tires, might as well buy the lowering kit at the same time.

I'm having trouble understanding why you need larger wheels for a lowering kit to work?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but right after starting, you will see higher voltage because the alternator is trickle charging your battery from the start. Once the voltage in the battery reaches where it's supposed to, the alternator is no longer being double tasked and therefore output...
