    Backup HID lights

:cool2: Holy freak, those are bright!!! :cool2: I betcha the neighbors will enjoy them too, when you're backing out at night... :D Okay, not wanting to be out-done with HID's, after I do the reverse lights, I think my next project is going to be replacing all the interior overhead lights with...

    07 Yukon HID's HELP!

I hate the blue / purple HID look. Screams "ricer" and "look-at-me", IMO. I like 5000K, and I wouldn't go any bluer than that. Cops see the blue / purple ones and tend to pull them over more around here. I will stick with 4300K-5000K in my vehicles. The 5000K just have a tiny hint of blue...

    07 Yukon HID's HELP!

I dunno, dude. The kit definitely looks nice. But that's an unbelievable price, which leads me to believe there's something wrong with the kit... Also, I love how they're avoiding the eBay auction fees with the $24.99 item price and the $54.99 shipping fee. :skep: Let us know how this kit...

    Backup HID lights

Also, just wondering -- do you have a backup camera? (I don't see one on there, but maybe an after-market one?) I wonder how those HIDs would affect (i.e. wash-out) the image on the backup camera at night... :D I love it! :smilielol:

    Backup HID lights

Laughin' my butt off, dude! :smilielol::smilielol::smilielol: Very cool! I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought about that too! BUT, I doubt the factory wiring was designed to handle the start-up current loads that a HID ballast puts on it. Did you rig up some kind of relay harness or...

    07 Yukon HID's HELP!

Yup. I'm sure those same vendors would sell you just the proper harness you need with the H13/9008 connector, so you can get your setup working. Probably a better option than buying a whole new kit, yes? Also, I've seen harnesses available via eBay, but as you know, your mileage may vary...

    07 Yukon HID's HELP!

Do you not see another three-pinned connector and a relay on there? That three-pinned connector connects to your factory wiring at the headlight, which controls on / off. If you don't have that, then you must have the wrong type of harness...and I'd understand why you're confused! :)

    07 Yukon HID's HELP!

No offense, but I'm thinking you just don't understand how the harness is supposed to work. Is this a bi-xenon kit, or just a single-arc kit? 1) The thick red wire (+) connects directly to the positive (red) battery terminal. 2) The thick black wire (-) connects to a chassis ground. 3) You...

    Looking for a Tahoe Decoder

On my '04 XL Denali, the list was under the hood on a build sticket next to the VIN plate on top of the radiator shroud. On my '07 XL Denali, it's in the glove box. I dunno if it's in both places, but there you go...

    2007 Yukon Fog Light Mod

Well, you're right -- solenoid actuated bi-xenons are what I have on my truck (H13's/9008's). I have the McCulloch kit (or a knockoff, not sure). Anyway, they work very well, and NO special wiring is required. The circuitry is all in the harness, ballasts, ignitors and bulbs. Automagic...

    2007 Yukon Fog Light Mod

Cool -- thanks for the props Mike. I wish I had more $$$ to play around these days; I wanna do my daily driver now. Maybe you can hook me up with a deal at some point for the referral biz or something. ;) Cheers!

    2007 Yukon Spontaneous Explosion

Well, I hope I'm not #4. I heard about this a while back and was a little nervous. BUT, we can't all live scared, that's for sure. I have insurance on me, my family, my house, and my vehicles to offset the "risk" of parking it in my garage. God willing, we'll survive the horror that is my...

    Fog Lights

DO NOT use a halogen / incandescent 9005 in your 2007+ foglight. They're 55 Watts or higher, and the OE bulb is like 27W. You will melt the housing. Been there, done that. Near as I can tell, the only way to get a replacement PS24W OE fog bulb is from the dealer. Unless you're using the...
