Steering slip My mechanic replaced the steering position sensor on my 1999 Tahoe and this solved the steering slippage problem.(About $130.00 parts & labor)

1999 Tahoe 4WD service light Computer diagnostic showed faulty switch.Changed out switch module on dash and it took care of problem.

4 WD service light comes on after about 15 min. of driving in 2 WD (after turning ignition off & restarting it turns on again after 15 min). 4 WD (AWD) works fine when engaged.The scanner shows no error codes. Any suggestions?

Replace steering position (EVO) sensor.

I replaced the steering position sensor (EVO sensor) and this has solved the problem so far.
