My wife's Yukon has the 4.8 and I'm impressed with it. It does the job moving that heavy sucker. I can't say how it does towing since we don't use it to tow. I'm a Corvette guy so I'm used to having good performance.
The difference in the HP and Torque numbers between the 4.8 and the 5.3...
My stock tail light has a crack in it. There is no sign of it being hit with anything and there is no impact mark. Has anyone seen these crack due to stress from being exposed to the heat of the sun?
I'm wondering how much of a fight I will have trying to get it replaced under warranty...
My wife uses those oil fresheners in the house that have a little fan in them. One day she set the box on top of a plastic table protector for a few hours and if wrinkled the plastic badly. The vapors from the oil attacked the plastic.

Mine also moves. It's an 08 Yukon. I saw this and wondered why it wasn't designed to be more secure. Must have been a new grad, or summer intern ME that was given this job.:rolleyes2:

I didn't bother to drill the holes for the bracket. Instead I bought some exterior grade double sided foam tape and attached the bracket. The plastic mounting ears on the cover will break before the bracket gives way.

I've used Cover King for my Vette seat covers and the fit and mateial (velour) quality was good. I have all 3 seat covers on order for my wife's Yukon. At first they came in the wrong color as they didn't match the sample swatch they sent me. They paid for the shipping to send them back along...
I have an 08 Yukon with the steering wheel controls. There are two buttons on the back side of the steering wheel under the radio control buttons that seem to do nothing. The manual does not say anything about them, not even as an option. Does anyone know what they are for?

I agree with above. I've been using it for about 8 years. (Also a Corvette guy). It's expensive but you use so little per application, the small bottle lasts a long time. It's a choice decision to use carnuba wax or polymer like Zaino.

I tried a search for this but didn't find any information useful. Sorry if this has been beat to death already.
I am looking to buy a low option Yukon and was interested in knowing how the 4.8 L engine moves the truck? I plan on using it for people and stuff hauling and not for towing...
