    Headlight issue...

Are you contemplating the headlight switch in regards to your no start? Unlikely that would be it. If you have a no crank issue,w/no solenoid clicking, then I'd look to the solenoid, starter relay under the hood in the relay pak, starter switch on the column and associated wiring (especially...

    Headlight issue...

No, never had the no start before with this vehicle. After playing with it in the garage over the weekend, it turns the no start (it did crank, just "seemed" that the spark appeared weak), was the 3 yr old OEM Delco sourced fuel pump went south. AGAIN... Just a coincidence that I was tooling...

    Seat cover replacment

Definitely interested in hearing about this. I got in my truck with a pen in my back pocket and tore the seat quite nicely getting out.

    Tire Pressure ?

Sounds pretty logical to me.... Tedious, but logical. ;)

    Tire Pressure ?

What a dilema... I always go with just under the tire company's rating. Say 40 pounds if max is 44. I'd sorta figure they should know what their product performs with best as opposed to the Vehicle. Tire technology changes, and the door sticker doesn't ;) Let alone, as mentioned, the door...

    Transmission Question

Basically the same trans, somewhat altered to increase strength of the LS6. Larger intermediate servo, hardened turbine input shafts, extra three-four clutch plate. etc... Not too big on Denali history, but books I have seem to point to Denali 2004 and up w/6 litre, but I'm told that in 2001...

    Dead Battery

I'd disconnect it all, and see if that solves it. Then go from there when you're sure THAT is the problem. "I believe it is the cable coming from the onstar unit." That is something you want to "be sure" of. May be backfeeding something or whatever. I'm no car electronics genuis, this is...

    Dead Battery

So, I it never did that until the new radio was installed?

    Gas Mileage went to crap

Not sure, but maybe the old sensor was causing it to run lean... Maybe now it's giving it the right amount and well unfortunately, using more fuel. As mentioned, probably not a bad idea to disconnect the battery for a bit tho.

    97 Yukon Fuel pump Q

Yeah, I'm usually a fan of OEM myself usually. Haven't checked the pressure, but I don't hear it running at all, and the truck fires right up on starting fluid. Although at first, I certainly thought the spark looked seriously weak. Thought THAT was the issue at first actually. Sucks, I...

    97 Yukon Fuel pump Q

My 97 yukon's just failed out of nowhere with no prior symptom. Odd, as I replaced it a couple years ago with a GM Delco replacement. I would think a GM unit would last more than a couple years. :( Q 1: Are there any better quality units out there? Tried a cheap Aeromotive aftermarket before...

    Headlight issue...

This started a year ago, and I went through colum wires then, they seemed intact. Relays and fuses check good. Headlamps are the Sylvania Silverstars and do work in other positions as mentioned (just not when you actually turn them on! haha). Was sorta not wanting to "totally" tear down the...

    Headlight issue...

Thank you, I'll check that. I did a search here and didn't see much, but my Search Fu skills may have been off a bit ;) I'd heard of this issue before in google searches and heard of people swapping headlight switches / turn signal hibeam switches and no fix, so I am happy to hear any...

    Headlight issue...

First off, Newb here, and want to say hello and comment on a great forum. Thanks for all the onfo I've picked up already :) Issue: 1997 Yukon 5.7 4dr. High beams work normally, but low beams stopped working a while back. When they first stopped, moving the tilt wheel would make them...
