So I put the Yukon in Auto 4wd the other day and the service 4wd light came on. It still engages in Auto and 4hi, but makes clunk and goes back to
2wd when I try to put it 4lo. Anyone have this issue, and a possible fix? From what I have been reading it could be the switch, or the encoder...
You say that red light would help prevent a 10 car pile up in fog. That must mean that brake lights(RED) would be less helpfull than one flashing red grill light. Hmmm?
It is easy enough to take off the rear panel and see if the acuators are working or not. They are visible with just the panel off. When you change the controls over to heat/cold then you should see it move. Same thing for the vent/floor switch. That way you know if they are working or not before...
I have a quick question on how you find out if the fan clutch has gone bad. My A/C is making the terrible tensioner noise. I replaced the tensioner but it still makes the noise. I read that this noise may have something to to with the fan clutch. If I spin it with the engine off it never locks...
