I have a 2 door 1997 (2WD) and I have a 5.7 Vortec with a 4L60e in it. Reason I know, I just had the motor and tranny rebuilt a month ago. As far as I know it came from the factory like that.

Tahoe running warm Did you figure out what was causing your tahoe to run hot? I'm in the exact same boat you were in. I replaced the intake gasket this summer when it blew along with the water pump. It started running warm recently. So I changed the termostat & and radiator cap. Still runs...
