How do the projectors compare to the TYC HID reflector housings? I know projectors in general give you a nicer line but is it really worth the $150 difference?

HID actually give out less heat than halogen bulbs.

Have to get my 4x4 95 Tahoe smog tested but won't be able to because the ABS light is on. Bought the truck recently and the previous owner had the hubs replaced but dont know when, so that is one thing I'm going to look at. Also gonna see if the sensors are just dirty. What else should I be...

Yeah, just go with a HID reflector and D1R BULB and you're set.

Both of those aren't that true projectors, they are for lo0ks rather than function. Many guys are buying the first one listed and retrofitting a true projector into them. True projectors will run from $150+, that's not including the housing.

Pretty sure you are talking about the cheap chinese HID kits that you see all over ebay. I was planning to go that route but decided to read up on HIDs before I bought anything. These kits will replace your halogen bulb with a HID bulb, so now you have a super bright bulb in a halogen housing...

Oh okay, just wanted to make sure. Looking to go the HID route and want to do it right. See a lot of guys driving around with HID bulbs and halogen reflectors, annoys the hell out of me. These would get me that nice cut off line? Thanks
