s&b or k&n fipk

i've narrowed it down to these two. which one should i go for?

why did you not choose the volant as an option, it is still enclosed like the S&B, yet you won't need to oil.

i've heard really good things about the volant, but from what i have read, i don't know if there is enough of a difference to justify an extra 100 bucks for it.

plus, i've run k&n's (drop in filters) in 3 or 4 other trucks, so i don't mind the oiling

the k&n and s&b are priced the same (+-$10), but i'm not completely sure if i should go with the closed s&b, or if the k&n with the heat shield is good enough
