Rear Spare tire

Anyone else have problems with their spare tire? I can lower it but it is rusted shut.. What did you guys do to fix/replace?

Yes this is a common problem... it is a terrible design, mine rusted to the point that it couldn't be released and I had to pry it loose. You can buy the complete hoist assembly aftermarket on ebay and many other places as well. I just left it off as I figured by the time I replace it and then need it I probably wont be able to release it again.
