Yes, Edge Products has what they call their MVP (Maximum Value Program). And yes, in order to sell Edge Products the dealer must be approved by Edge for inclusion in the MVP. Advertising or selling any Edge product below the MVP price is considered a violation of the program policy and can lead to termination of approved dealer status.

MSD Ignition
Superchips
Edge Products
Racepak

All of the above "MSD" companies use the same program.

It's called a MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) program and is very common in consumer retail. It is illegal for a manufacturer to dictate a selling price to the retailer, so what they do instead is make available co-op advertising funds and other support. However, the co-op funds and spiffs are available only if you sell the product at MSRP or above a certain minimum price.

Manufacturers do this to protect their retail channel (otherwise, low-overhead Internet sellers would destroy people with showrooms and other expensive overhead) as well as their margins.
