backup camera screen

can anybody tell me how to dim the monitor when in reverse and the camera is on. When at night, the monitor is on full brightness

Isn't that screen part of the IP lights that get adjusted using the dimmer dial on the far left of the dashboard (left side of steering wheel closest to the drivers' door)? I assume this would dim that light as well.

That's what I thought too, but this dimmer does not dim the backup camera screen.

Have you actually tried to use the dimmer dial while the back-up camera was on? Just asking because I just read a forum that said this works.
But it wouldn't be the first time what I read on a forum was wrong.
