Seems like every time I tryo to use my wipers, it behaves differently every time. What I'm having problems with is when I either turn the knob for one wipe, or turn the knob to select intermittent wipe, instead the wipers will operate continuously, sometimes for 30 seconds or more (kinda embarrassing!).

What's also happening is when I try to use the washer/wiper, the pump doesn't operate, and again, wipers run continously.

When the wipers are on interrmittent, regardless of which level, wipers continously wipe, with random stops, sometimes in the middle of the windshield!

Anyone have any ideas on this one?

Check the wiring down the column around where the piviot is, then check the Pulse module (under black cover on wiper motor).... Module is pretty cheap, but you could try to resolder the 5 or 6 contacts from the main connector......

I sort of had the same issue. I remember that when I would turn on my headlights the wipers would turn on at the same time.
There is a ground wire to the frame that didn't get tied back down after I was doing some work under the hood. The wire on my 'hoe is located where the washer fluid bottle attaches to the front of the engine bay.

When fuses malfunction they either dont open and something burns up, or they open and something stops working because it has lost power......

Check grounds like stated before, sounds plausible....
