will +10 offset wheels work

I have a 2003 Tahoe with the factory flares. The tire place has some 18x8.5 wheels that have a +10 offset. they told me that should roughly bring the tires level with the outside of the flares after install. I would not want them to stick out any further than that. Any thoughts if this would be correct. I will be running 285/65r18 with the torsion bars cranked up about 1".
