This past week my a/c has started making a whistling noise. Its very sporatic, the only exception is that it doesn't do it in the morning's or late evening's, only the heat of the day. Doesn't matter the speed I am driving and it can happen while sitting at a red light. This is a very difficult one to describe, other than it is exactly the same pitched whistle that only complains when the a/c is on. Could this mean a leak? Compressor?
It kinda sounds like compressed air leaking, if that helps any. But it only lasts less than a minute, usually a few seconds.
I have searched this site trying to find a similar issue with an 04 Yukon but couldn't find any. So my apologies if there is a thread somewhere already discussing this issue. The whistling noise is louder and more frequent as time goes by, hope nothing is getting damaged while I try to figure this one out.
