Greetings all! First time poster and proud new (well used with 19,000 miles) 2007 LT3 silver Tahoe 4X4. It's new to me anyway! I'm glad I found this site, you all share some really good information here about our beloved SUV's.

I just recieved my new Consumer's Report magazine and they didn't seem to like the Tahoe's or Yukon's very much. And for buying an '07 used they gave it a big black dot! They say the reliability isn't very good. I have to say that as a new owner of this FANTASTIC ride, I took offense to them reporting negatively about it. It's been just about a month since I bought the vehicle and by far it's the nicest vehicle that my wife and I have ever owned....by far! So, I ask; "where's the love?"!!!

Do any of you have any thoughts on why they reported it that way? Is there some real problems with the vehicle that I should be aware of especially since it's under warranty?!?!? I already took it in for the recalls on the key fobs battery issue and the E85 flash upgrades. Thanks in advance for your input and again, glad I stumbled across your community!!!!

Welcome. I think those with any serious problems on this site are in the minority. Most of the problems I've heard about have been very small. Let them say what they want, and enjoy your new ride!

YO ROB!!!!! Welcome!! I too received that issue of Consumer Reports. If you take notice, they give a big black dot on just about all full size trucks and SUV's. Must be that they do not like us driving around in our big a$$ trucks!!! GO SIT AND SPIN CR!!!! Here's what I can not figure out. They gave the 07 Tahoe/Yukon a black dot for being unreliable but when you look at the charts near the back which give the projected ratings for the different systems i.e. engine, trans etc, nearly all the ratings are the highest red circle dots!!!! Still scratchin' my head on this.

I'm with you, love the ride (though not as good as my Lexus - but the Tahoe is a TRUCK) and I have been extremely pleased with my purchase.

From what I gather CR always gives a negative review for the first model year of the Suburban/Tahoe/Yukon line. I've owned several of the first year models and have not had any major issues with any of them until after 100K on the odometer. IMO, CR is just not a believer that Detroit can design a great product that'll last.
