WHat has worked best?
I've been playing around with a few, nothing bad, but nothing particularly impressive either.
I used the armoral wash/wax combo, it washes fine, but the wax is nonexistant. I used that simoniz liquid diamond that you see on those infomercials. It was easy to apply and shines nicely, but it only lasted about 6 weeks.
Does anyone have a system that is easy to use and keeps a bead going for at least 6 months of weekly washes?

I'm real big into detailing we do several car shows a year and I really like the results of Maguires NXT. Now for long life and easy to put on and off I like Mothers California Gold Original Formula Carnauba Cleaner Wax.

PS: Stoner products makes some great window cleaner and tire shine products :D

NU FINISH ONCE A YEAR CAR POLISH. its in an orange bottle, relatively inexpensive, can be bought virtually anywhere, and its easy to apply and remove. its liquid based but its good stuff, its says its good for a year but i do it to my toys once every 4-5 months but im obsessed and i wash my truck like 1-2 per week. so if you only wash your hoe once a week then it could last quite a while..

GREAT STUFF, DUDE JUST GIVE IT A TRY ITS LIKE 7 BUCKS .

I use Mr. Clean turbo autodry car wash and armor all wax about every 3 weeks. It works the best for me! :Chevy:

Easily Zymol....best in the business....pricey though

I have also used Eagle One Nano Wax on my M3 and it does a great job of beading water and getting that satin feel to the hand...

Cheers

Hand wash w/sponge and water only. I never use touchless car wash as I think it blows the wax off.

Turtle Wax, Carnuba, twice a year. Spring and fall.

Ooooh...I'm a detailing nut. Right now I'm using Meg's NXT as a base and S100 wax layered on top of it. I apply with a Porter Cable random orbital and remove with Cobra micro-fiber cloth. All washing and drying is done with micro-fiber to avoid scratching and avoid/minimize swirling. Like I said, I'm a nut. I find the synthetic NXT gives me a reasonably durable finish, and the carnauba-base S100 gives the color some depth and brings out the metal flake. I wash with Meg's Gold Class, use Hot Shine w/ Eagle One swipes on the tires, Stoner's on the glass. I also clay at least once a year. I generally maintain with Meg's QD and use carnuaba-based Eagle One Wax-as-u-Dry between waxings. Here's the Tahoe and Impala after being given a once over.

ETA: If you want durability you might go with a sealant instead of traditional wax. Something like Meg's #21 or #20, Danase, Zaino, Opti-Seal, the list goes on forever.

For my GN and STi (used on the WS6 too), it is Zymoil all the way. For my silver wagon automated wash with hand dry.

I go with a Mother's 3 stage on the goat since she's not black but on the cobalt I replace stage 2 with Meguires swirl remover 2.0

I found Turtle Wax ICE or Mother's back to black to be excellent on the rubber mouldings and various other plastic mouldings

This is pretty much my arsenal:

I wash with Zymol autobath. I don't really care what I clean my wheels/tires with. Black Magic works. I used Meguire's Medallion car polish/wax a couple months ago and the water still beads with ease on everything, except the top. I guess I'll do it again pretty soon. But the paint shines every time I wash it.
