Want to change interior color

I would like to change the interior color of my car from tan to black. I would also like to do as much of it my self. I need new front seats and have found some dark what is called "dark charcoal" front seats, but I would need to recover the 2nd and 3rd rows. Then I would need to paint the dash, all plastic and get a new carpet and headliner. should I try and get new plastic, or just paint it? If paint, what kind, something like krylon for plastic? I would like to keep the texture the OEM plastic has. Thanks for the help!
