I am getting a vibration after 45 and is only at steady throttle or acceleration,
it goes away as soon as you let up on throttle or go down hill, I have replaced u joints and just bought new wheels and tires. Tire shop says that this era of Tahoes had torque converter issues, any one else have this happening???

Inspect carrier bearing for damage. Put hand on ouput shaft yoke push up and pull down hard... There should be almost zero play there. Ck at your input to diff also..

Make sure your not in 4h btw if you have a 4x4. HOPEFULLY THEY INSTALLED YOUR DSHAFT IN THE RIGHT POSITION. DID YOU HAVE THE VIBRATION BEFORE THE U JOINTS? ALSO CK THAT THE CAPS ARE TIGHT ON THE U JOINTS

to bring a thread back from the dead. i am no noticing this at around 60 mph. but more so with flat or up hill acceleration, cruising is fine. i just replaced the u joints in the drive shaft. however when i took the drive shaft out i noticed that there was no master spline? i recently had the rear end rebuilt and maybe they didnt put it back in correctly, i never had this problem prior. how would i find the balanced position with no master spline? rotate, drive, rotate, drive?
