Great forums on synthetic vs. non synthetic. What about a motor flush before you change oil. What brands and experiences?

the place i worked at that used it stopped after a motor blew after using it. i will say, every oil change we did with that engine flush solution would clean the oil that u could barely see it on the stick. great stuff...or so we thought.
what it did was break up the sludge and put it where it shouldnt be in the engine and leading to it blowing up.
so, yea it does do a great job of 'cleaning your engine' but its a risk/reward issue.

I had the oil pan off my truck last summer with 203,000 miles on it. I was expecting a nasty sludgy mess and was greeted with a pan that cleaned up with a couple of blue shop towels. BUT, my truck runs almost 100% highway miles at 75+.
