I was driving up the street from my house and the transmission was reving high like it wouldn't come out of first gear.

The car also started to smokle. Luckily i was less then a mile away from my house. So i parked and in the morning checked the car(there was trans fliud still leaking from the car). I noticed where it was smoking right near the air box. That a hose was loose. It appears that the transmission line from my radiator somhow broke and my car was leaking transmission fliud fast!.

I don't know how this happen but i was wondering if it was just this line breaking and the trans fluid leaking out will damage my transmission?

I only had this transmission problem when the line actually broke.

So my question is if this would cause the damage to the transmission, If i get the line fixed do you think that will fix the problem?

SO this is the result.

I had someone local fix the transmission line and now my truck is stuck in 4 wheel drive low and it does not go in reverse?!

So i guess i need to take it into the dealer and either fix it or trade it in.

The car is not worth too much 2005 tahoe with 80 K.

Does anybody know of any recalls.
