I got a couple problems going on the 2005 Tahoe and just got two new TPMS AC Delco Tire pressure sensors installed today and they were not able to set them saying I needed to have the Dealer do it or get a Scan Tool...
Got it back both read Zero and stayed there the whole way home
Got the Cubb TPMS Tool from Tire Rack today at a great price and from what I am reading it says to just set it for your make, model, and year. Do your reset procedure so the horn beeps twice and got that. From reading it says just put it in "Scan" mode and did that and it gave me the sensor ID, what the PSI was, and said "Storage" at the bottom. I expected a horn chirp like doing it the regular way and never got that. I have done this many times and know to start with RF, LF, LR, and RR and horn beeps and all done.
Like I said above got the sensor ID, Pressure, but not sure what the "Storage" means and the cluster still reads Zero for those two sensor.
Anybody ever use the Cubb TPMS Tool? I know it has a copy, and a program mode, but everything I read just says do the procedure and scan them.
Something need to be done for them in the other mode to get them to communicate with the Tahoe? I would do it the old fashioned way, but got the tires at Costco and they use Nitrogen and cannot get Nitrogen anywhere.
I know this is probably something dumb I am doing and missing something and will be like DUH if someone knows the answer. I even waited after it scanned the tire and gave me all the info to see if I would get a horn chirp and nothing.
I would say the sensors have to be good because I am getting pressure readings on the scan tool and they are OEM AC Delco just like the other 2 old ones.
I should have added this... I had the "Flat Tire Symbol" on the dash and that went away and has not come back on... Just not getting why the tool says Storage and not being recognized by the Tahoe with pressure and sensor ID on the tool...
What am I doing wrong?
