Towing ? / Problem ?

2 questions:

1. How well do the '07 and newer Tahoe 4x4 tow? I am going from an 06 F150 with the 5.4L and 3.55 gears and I pull my 19' center console deep hull boat which I will eventually be upgrading to a 22'. How well will the Tahoe pull compared to my existing truck? I see most Tahoe's come with 3.08's which I don't like but I figured the 6 speed tranny may help out in that department.

2. Are there any MAJOR problems with the '07 models since they were the first year of the newer models?

I did a search on both these subjects but didn't find any concrete answers. Thanks in advance for any input.

i tow a 22' wakeboard boat that weights about 4500# with trailer with no issues with a 2007 GMC Yukon XL.
I had an aftermarket tranny cooler installed because 90% of the standard tow packages dont have the tranny cooler.

One of the reasons I waited until 08 to buy is because there was no tow package option in 07.
I liked the 6spd trans but I dont like the 3:08 or 3:42 gears. Our 08 has the 4spd and 3:73 gears and 2wd. We tow a 19 foot Airstream without problems. I sold our 25 foot Komfort because I was right at its max tow rating and I exceeded the GCWR. The Airstream works really good.
