I had an issure that felt like torque converter shudder to the point that I replaced it. The problem was still there. I replaced every solenoid and switch under the valve body and it was still there. The shudder was only under light acceleration. 4th gear ususally. really bad when puttering around 20mph in school zone. It would not do it in 3rd gear. Finally took it to a transmission shop where they were very honest (High Tech Transmission in San Antonio) and they told me it was my motor mounts and that my transmission at 144,000 was in great condition. What a relief! Anyway I had read that several people had the same feeling and had not seen this answer to the problem.
