I have not had the need to upgrade tires for winter conditions...
Once I go into 4WD high there's no stopping these trucks.
I've owned a 95, 98,99,01,04 Subns. in the past. Cant see how the Tahoe will differ regarding drivability in the winter. What part of the country are you from?

nitto terra grapplers are great tires. If you want an all out mud tire I had some goodyear MTR's on my wrangler that were awesome offroad. If you are going to stay on the road though, I would go for the Nitto's. They do well in the snow and ice and true mud tires are not a good idea if you get any ice at all.

I use Toyo Open Country A/Ts on my Hoe' right now and have taken it mudding quite a few times and never gotten stuck, plus they are GREAT on the road. I am about to get Toyo Open Country M/Ts which are GREAT for mudding, and are still good on the road. My friend has the M/Ts on his Ram and we have gone through some super deep holes and have never gotten stuck. Both the Toyos will be really good on Ice, especially the A/Ts. Good Luck. :Chevy:
