Hey everyone,

Just joined this forum and I'm coming from jeep forum and wrangler forum. I'm looking at getting a 2007+ tahoe in the under 20,000 dollar range. It seems that most for that price have between 100k-140k miles.

Figuring the best knowledge comes straight from the owners, do y'all have any advice for me in what to look for, what not to look for, and should I be ok if I'm looking to buy in that mileage range?

The last Tahoe I owned was a '96 back nearly 10 years ago, so I've been away form them for a while. Any tips are appreciated!

Thanks!:happy160:

welcome! im here new as well looking for same input.

ive researched these trucks and have seen a lot of good things about them.

the 1 common thing ive seen that a lot f people have issues with is cracked dashes .
but i think that may be their state location. hotter climate states.

chevy has never done me wrong. except for the old intake manifold gaskets on the older early 2000 models cars.

check cargurus.com thats where i found the tahoe im most likely going to buy this sat.
good luck on the search and btw a lot of people have told me these engines are very durable. i have a guy that comes into my shop that delvers steel and he has a 06 tahoe with 190k on the dash and has said nothing but good about them.

Thanks for the info so far. Car gurus has a better selection than Other sites around here it looks like.

Also, that thread was a good read. At the end, someone's asked the question "is this a good Vehicle to buy used?"

What do y'all think? With some of the issues listed seeming quite pricey, a vehicle without a warranty seems like it could be a money pit. With most in my price range having around 125K on them, I want to go into this as knowledgable as possible.

Thanks again for the info so far!
