throttle body issues

go the reduced engine power the other day. Limped it to Auto Zone. Code p2101 (TAC). Limped it home

I'm not a car buy but I can search online like a pro

removed the intake to find a nasty TB (pic below). Even though it obviously needs cleaning, would this throw that code? Being a DBW system, I have learned not to move the plate manually. If I put the key to the on position (but no crank) and press the gas, the plate will NOT open......just fyi

It wont open till the tac and pcm modules see an rpm. You can get s screwdriver to hold it open and clean it off, yes it may or may not help it but its where to start

Ok....thought I read where it would open with the key in "on" position since it's dbw but I'm clueless Also wasn't sure that pushing it open would mess up sensors. I believe I need to take the whole thing off. I'm sure the back of that plate looks even worse
