2008 Tahoe LTZ with 127K miles getting sluggish on acceleration. No lights or codes. I suspect it is the throttle body needs cleaning. Any tricks or suggestions? How much should I pay if I have it done? Thanks

Have you tried a quality fuel system cleaner like Amsoil PI.
If you're handy with a screwdriver, remove the bbreather tube to the throttle door and spray and wipe carefullyaround the surface with a carb cleaner or equivalent

Do it yourself for cost of spray (if tempted to use broke, carb or other cleaner don't. Get throttle body cleaner spray for around $5). It is open by wire meaning computer controlled not cable so be careful not to open flap manually or computer will have to relearn & may have to reset codes.

When I cleaned mine I turned key to position before it starts (acc), placed pole on gas pedal and against seat rail then moved seat forward until pole held pedal down & flap opened in the throttle body. Then I took off few bolts and took unit free (keeping computer on it plugged in or flap will close) set it on piece of cardboard on engine & proceeded to clean (careful of not moving flap). Then rebolt on & put back anything you took off & your gtg.

I cleaned mine recently because of idle fluctuating when ac or heat used. Fixed problem great with no need for computer to relearn & no codes.
