Tail light swap

Ive got a customer that insists on having 2007 tahoe tail lights installed on his 2002. Has anyone here done it or know where I can see pictures of it being done?

The body opening for the tailights on a 2002 and a 2007 are similar but not the same. The lights won't interchange without doing some sheet metal/body work in order to make them look stock. eBay sells tailights for the 02 that look pretty similar to the 07. That lights be an option
