Hi Guys, I have had my Tahoe parked for a few months. I recently started it up and left it idling for 10 minutes just hoping the alternator will recharge back the battery. I then decided to take it out to get some gas, I did and at the station she started back up like a trooper and proceeded to head back home. As I approached my highway intersection the car was running perfectly, being that this was the last stretch of road I decided to gun the pedal and it immediately she stalled. Fully powered electrical wise all lights and bells on but the engine was off, I then placed it in neutral turned the ignition and she started up again with no hesitation, engine runs so smooth it took me a while to realize she was on. Anyone experienced this? thanks for your time and your help.

thanks for reply

well it has been there since January 15th so a little more than 5 months. I think you may be right, because in february I did place some gas from a gas bottle that I had at work so there might have been some debris there. I will replace the fuel filter and let you know the results. thanks!

No External Fuel filter

ohh mines is a '04 model, does this means that the fuel pump is attached to the fuel filter?

It has a screen at the bottom of the pump because it doesn't have a return system on it and the fuel pressure regulator is integrated into the fuel pump the also did away with the external fuel pump

Thanks for the info.

Oh Boy sounds like a garage visit now, I am in the Cayman Islands so it may take a while to get back on here with any results. I am on eBay now and I see the part, I will order the entire pump mechanism now and have a local shop install it for me... I thank you in advance for your help.
