Tahoe making a knocking noise only when turning...

I just noticed it a few weeks ago....only when I'm turning. It isn't all the time, but I can hear a knocking noise when I turn or when I'm backing up and making a turn. I haven't had the time to take my 2007 Tahoe to the shop yet. We bought it used last year from the dealer, it only had one owner and was in great shape.

make sure ALL nuts and bolts are very tight in your steering system, that's what makes the noise, particularly the ones that hold the joints between the fork and the chassis (the big ones)
