Hi, I picked up my 2016 Tahoe LTZ last week from a dealer 2 hours away from me (special order). I ordered it with illuminated Door Sill Plates ($420 upcharge - dealer installed option). Realized the other day that it came without this add-on while it's on my order continuation and on the window sticker.
Contacted the dealer who told me they received the part along with the vehicle and just simply forgot to install them. He told me I can certainly come back (2 hour drive) and they'll install it or they can ship it to me and I can install it myself. According to him it shouldn't be a big deal to install.. Just swap out the current plates and replace with the proper ones that they're sending me.
I received the part set and see that it's not just simple plug and play.. There is a harness that appears to be designed to run from the driver's door to the passengers door - which I assume can only be done by opening some panels...
Anyone with knowledge on thiw to install this?
