I have a 99 Tahoe(old body style) that I just purchased from a friend. The rear a/c works just fine but the front is a little hit and miss. If I turn the a/c on to max it takes a little bit but it will work and get pretty cold then out of nowhere it will get a little warm then cold again. It will also will only blow cold on the first three notches on the cold side. Once you turn it a little more towards the warm it will get hot. I believe it is the blend door actuator. I started to take the dash apart to get to it. I can see it from under the dash and it is having a trouble moving back and forth(also makes a little noise). If I am on the right track can someone please tell me how to get to it????? I have most of the dash apart but it looks like I need to drill some rivets out to take the rest of the dash off? I am stuck. Thanks in advance.
