Tahoe - Average Tranny Temp

Hello all. New to the Tahoe arena. Just purchased a 2008 Tahoe LTZ. I do not believe there is the towing package with the tranny cooler in front of the radiator. My question is what is the average or normal operating temp everyone is seeing. Today 20 miles 90 degrees outside at 70 mph I saw a Max of about 180 degrees. Is this normal or high.

So far the new ride is treating us well. Any other suggestions or things to watch for. It currently has 83500 miles. What maintenance is suggestive or required.

normal......i'd watch anything much over 200*F.
