Hi, I have a 96 tahoe 4 door 5.7, when I fill up the tank I get a little gas smell but no dripping, today I found out that the pipe going from the back to the front of the tank is rusted and wet with gas. Is this the evap pipe, found a picture online where I can see the back pipe goes to a T in the front? Its only steel pipe in the middle and a kind of rubber plastic hose in the ends, I guess I will get a gas hose and put it between the two hoses, then I don't have to take the fuel tank down. Anybody done this? Or do I need to also replace the rubber/plastic hoses also?
