Just got a 2001 Tahoe LS 5.3 motor 4wd. Truck is mint and looks like it was loved by the last owner. Bought at a used car lot so other than the Carfax I'm not sure how diligent last owner was with maintenance. Fluids look real good. Oil looks good as does the the tranny fluid. This may have been covered in other posts but this is my first post. What is the concencus with switching to a good synthetic engine oil and doing a transmission flush and fluid change. Truck has 97,000 miles. No leaks or anything. I've heard different views on both.
