Switched from single cd to 6 cd and.....

Its LOCKED...........what do i need to do to get the new unit to work......is there a code or do i need to take it to the dealer to unlock it.........any help would be great......tried searching and couldnt find much..........so here i am..........how much will this cost any ideas

take it to teh dealer and they will be able to override the antitheft

There is a code you that should have come with your owners info, but if not go to the dealer and they can override it and give you the code for the future! :Chevy:

thanks for the replies.........the dealer is giving me a hard time due to the fact that by their policy they may feel that it is stolen..........i have verified that it is not stolen and was sold to me by a parts recycler........is this the only way to have this unlocked.........i suspect they just want to sell me a brand new one at full markup..........any ideas

I would try and put more pressure on them and keep asking, but if that doesn't work than try a local Car Stereo place, they may be able to get it to work for you. Good Luck! :Chevy:
