Strange message

I have a 2003 Tahoe that is showing aaaaaaaaaaaaaa on the message below the instruments. It only does this when I first get in without the power on. Once I turn it on and start it, it goes away. The other thing that may not be related is the time on the radio resets nearly every time I get in. Any ideas???

Go to your local O'Reilly and have your alternator and battery tested and be sure they are in good working order. This sounds like a charging system issue to me.
