Stock amp.....

On a 2000 Yukon, where is it? I was told the rear quarter on the passenger side, but I havent checked. I dont have a lot of experence with amps, but can I swap the stock one with a after market amp for better sound quality? I just replaced the stock 8" sub with a 8" Memphis, but I am looking for a little better quality and control.

I know they changed some things throughout the years, but in my '04 w/Bose system, the amp is under the center console. But for you it may be located somewhere else.
