Hey guys....about 5000 miles ago I was hearing some sort of squeaking noise coming from the drive belt area, and this only happened when I started the engine in the morning or if it has been sitting there for a couple of hours. I took it to the shop and they replaced the serpentine belt, problem solved at that time. Now, I've been hearing that same noise again when I start up the engine in the morning or after about 4 hours of driving the car. Once I drive off I can hear the squeaking a little bit in the morning, but goes away a few minutes later

Usually in the middle of the day it goes away with no squeaking. Only happens usually in the morning when I take off for work, or if the car has been sitting there for about 4 hours, and I start it up again.

Any suggestions? The serpentine belt is still in good shape, can it possibly be the second belt for the air conditioning?

Almost sounds like the alternator really hammering down and trying to charge a low battery at those times, have you checked your battery lately and might wanna check for something draining it down if it is low in voltage.

Check battery
Check belt (for correct tension and wear on belt)

Just throwing some ideas out, hopefully it is an easy and cheap fix!!!

Did the shop check your idler and tensioner pulleys when they replaced the serpentine belt?
