Spark plug gaping...

:help: My local auto part store recommended the gaping be .041 . I just found my manual after i installed the plugs. The 2002 Chevy Tahoe manual says .060 Can anyone tell me if this will do any damage to the engine.?.?.? :help:

what type of plugs are you running? if they are platinum with the little tip on them then you cant gap them

In later years, GM changed the gap and back spec'd the earlier models. The new gap is .040 and new Iridium's are preset at that size. Stick with Delco or NGK plugs as these motors can be picky.
